981…Waiting in anticipation – Running Report page 26

….and then there was this brown trouser moment earlier too….back end just slip, I wasn’t even really accelerating hard 😞

Withy – Posted February 17

eek, a bit scary 😳

Withy – Posted February 17

I meant to ask @Stuart21UK – Since your damp episode, does your car suffer from condensation inside worse than it used to? Mine does, and it’s bloody annoying

actually no it doesn’t!

I bought one of those gel bags that @John K has and I’ve left it on the dash when I get out of the car and no perceptible change to its wight or wetness at all…

Someone posted about the air con having an impact on the inside condensation and I think it might have some impact…

Happy Days – Posted February 18

I think they all suffer from condensation – at this time of year especially.

having just got my boxster S things like this worry me a little however I have pressed on in the wet and it feels glued to the road.

In saying that in my limited experience I find if its a little greasy the car just doesn’t like it at all.

What tyres do you have? I have the Goodyears eagle f1 approved tyres

Ah yes, I’ve got one of those (used in my previous 987).. I think I should probably put it in the car to make it help 🙂

Not sure if you have had alignment done recently, It is the first thing I done with I got my car alignment checked. The place I went to said to me these can be very sensetive more so than other cars being mid engine and slight deviation in the settings can lead to snapping back end etc

Patt – Posted February 19

I have the same tyres – I find they need to “warm up” a bit before pressing on. They soon let you know if they aren’t warm enough🥴

yeah probably both these…dont think the alignment has ever been done

IATM  – Posted February 19

I would 100% get your alignment done/checked – the contis are winter tyres so shouldn’t need warmed up too much anyway.

Ask OPC or look for a 4 wheel alignment specialist – It will be worth it

Many owners get the alignment done even when it comes new out the factory as its usually out anyway.

Yep, on 4 of my new cars, done within 4 months of purchase! Used Centre Gravity who are really knowledgable about Porsches.

Slightly disappointed I can’t zoom in enough on my phone to have a proper nose at your shopping 😁

Curry Pot Noodle, beer, kitchen roll, flour, bagels, mango chutney, Oreos, passata?

here you go Steve..

Gutley – Posted March 16

…White Wine and some Tomato Puree too??

rowbos – Posted March 16

Thanks Stuart 😀

I enjoy food shopping (hate any other kind of shopping unless it’s online!) so do have a certain curiosity about other peoples basket content.

I’m glad you got your faggots anyway 😬

Stuart21UK – Posted March 16

now if you want the overview….

no more toilet roll so bought some kitchen roll instead

only allowed two packs of paracetomol (none in Sainsburys at all, nor Calpol which would have been my second choice)

managed to figure that pot noodles and those quick noodles in blocks with the powdered flavouring) are easy to buy

also that whilst the soup section had been raped of all tomato and anything other than weird stuff…Campbells condensed on the top shelf was readily available (5 tins in basket went)

UHT milk was a no-no so I bought some Oat/Cashew/Rice and Soya milk instead (likely to be tipped down drain 5 mins after opening but good to have as an option)

5 Jammie donuts reduced to 50p was a bargain (have eaten 2) they were nice and soft too (nom nom)

Could get baked beans, when returned 15 mins later there were none left…Spaghetti hoops are not that popular so good as an alternative

Ravioli could only get half tins at 75p each!!! Eldest didnt understand the concept of rationing with a half tin and some toast, instead of two half tins with no toast (which is what she had for tea)

Passata and tinned tomatoes in ready supply, so it seems are most fresh things inc meat/veg etc

Vodka easy to buy (someone told me it had been bought out in one shop as a hand cleaner alternative) but I bought a bottle of wine and rum (neither of whcih will be used for anything other than disinfecting my throat)

crisps were bordering on being sold out for some varieties….go premium and you’re sorted here…

…but if you want an easter egg you’ll have no issues (same goes for choc biscuits/cake bars and savoury biscuits…all good here!)

Part bake rolls I had the last white ones but they did had brown ones left

same goes for about 3 packets of brown spaghetti, the only pasta left (except…tip here….fresh which wilst more expensive can be frozen without issue)

no rice except the last couple of bags of Jasmine rice that went into my trolley (been meaning to try this as a change to basmati for a while, now seems as good as any)

Had to go to Morrisons after Sainsburys to get the eldest her Ravioli and also the Paracetamol…

Just been reading about self isolating and wondering how I do that whilst looking after my 84 year old mother…who takes who food parcels?!

Looks like you are sorted for now with that lot.

I got my son to take me shopping on Saturday (still can’t drive) and made sure I had all the basics.

Be careful with that Kitchen roll – toilet roll substitute – you might need to use Sudocrem afterwards to soothe your sore botty 😂

Stuart21UK – Posted May 31

Last weekend I struggled with the winter/summer wheel swap, fully aided by the family

Little B helped me clean the summer wheels before they went on the car

After I went for a lie down post wheel battle, Mrs B and little B cleaned the car too as a surprise for me 🙂
